Ever since his failed attempt at the presidency last year, Liberal Party bet Mar Roxas has been away from the limelight and thoroughly enjoying his life as a regular citizen. But given his political connections, the allegations of corruption never went away.
Recently, Roxas' name was once again dragged into controversy after a news about a complaint filed by an alleged former employee of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
According to the complaint, "3,500 Metric Tons Of Gold Deposited At Thailand Bank During The Administration Of (Benigno) Aquino (III)." The news — now viral on social media — tagged Roxas as the former "Secretary of Nutrition and Local Government."
And yes, people believed we have a "Department of Nutrition and Local Government."
To this claim, Roxas kept his cool and made light of the allegations. He posted his only response on his Facebook page:
Roxas writes, "As alleged Sec of Nutrition, I recommend scrambled eggs para sa mga (for those) scrambled brains."
Looks like citizen Mar Roxas a.k.a. Tito Mar is definitely enjoying his quiet life at home — complete with pambahay (house) clothes, disheveled hair and scrambled eggs.
