President said he believes that Arroyo would reject such appointment that will bring her confine within an office.

“No, I don’t think she would agree. Hindi tatanggapin ni ma’am. It’s useless to speculate,” Duterte said in a Palace press conference, when asked if he was considering the former leader.

Hindi tatanggapin ni ma’am ‘yang trabaho. Paupin mo sa opisina uli?” he added.

For now, the President said he will listen to advice of Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez and consult Congress leaders about the appointment of next BSP governor.

“I have to listen to everybody including the Senate and the political leaders of the country. And the appointee, whoever he is, must have an acceptance to all,” he said.

I do not run this government alone. Although I appoint but there must be a concurrence also of the political leaders. Kasi ‘pag hindi nila tanggapin, mahirapan lang,” he added.

BSP Governor Amando Tetangco Jr. is expected to retire once his second term ends this July.
