“What is Hontiveros smoking? Must be pretty strong stuff?” This was the reaction of a historian who happened to watch Hontiveros’ video interview regarding the rebellion and invasion in Mindanao.
History expert Van Ybiernas stated that Daniel Razon’s questions, the man who hosted Hontiveros’ interview, were good one to tackle but it seems that Hontiveros is a little bit disoriented.
“Marawi was occupied by a group hoisting the ISIS flag.
He also said that it is the problem with the senator, being so much preoccupied with ‘party-political’ ideals and her controversial judgement on the situation in Marawi.
Ybiernas also said that even before Hontiveros was not yet elected, he observed that she has been subjecting herself to shameless self-promotion, to get everybody’s trust and attention.
But then she gained the confidence of the public when she began to be the fearless critic of Arroyo’s Administration, and because of that she won the 2016 elections.
But Ybiernas was not swayed by Hontiveros’ act, stating this,
