The report by GMA News' Jun Veneracion on "24 Oras" on Wednesday was on a video footage show the gunfight between snipers of the government troops and Maute group snipers.
The exclusive video was taken by the spotter who uses a telescope and is beside one of the snipers.
The military was targeting the snipers of the Maute group who were hiding in a building.
The objective of the military is to prevent the conflict from escalating after Ramadan ends this weekend. However, the Maute snipers and the process of clearing operations are still among their concerns.
"Lumiliit na po 'yung area ng mga Maute so mabilis po 'yung pag-move forward natin. Sabi ko nga po nagtatagal lang because of the clearing," said Joint Task Force Marawi spokesperson Lt. Col. Jo-Ar Herrera.
Meanwhile, authorities are already preparing for the rehabilitation of Marawi City.
Joint Task Force Ranao chief Brig. Gen. Ramiro Rey said, "We are now coordinating with the local government leaders regarding the plans on the recovery and rehabilitation of Marawi. Initially we have the locations for the future tensity."
"We are also looking for... an area for the mass grave for the possible recovery of dead bodies," he added.
There are still between 100 to 110 Maute group members within the area.
